As Chief Executive Officer at Bowden Eye & Associates, Patti Barkey, COE, is responsible for operational management and corporate administration of the organization. Patti was instrumental in the development of Bowden Eye & Associates.  She has over 43 years of experience in the ophthalmic field where she held multiple positions ranging from clinical, surgical, operations, research, finance, and management. She is responsible for launching the Eye Surgery Center of North Florida and three Bowden Eye satellite locations to serve the patients of Jacksonville, FL. Bowden Eye prides itself on being one the most innovative practices in the country.

Patti is a Certified Ophthalmic Executive (COE), an elite certification and national standard for ophthalmic practice management managed by the American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators (ASOA). She currently serves as President of ASOA . Patti is the Founder and Director of Dry Eye University (DEU). In 2019, she was appointed as the Administrator Program Director of the Royal Hawaiian Eye congress. She is sought-after by the ophthalmic industry for her expertise in both clinical and practice integration of new products, and travels around the country to educate practices on innovative technologies, diagnostics and therapeutics. She values industry partnerships which allow Bowden Eye to remain current. Patti believes that practice growth and development must revolve around one single issue: THE PATIENT.
